So Far In Week 7

This week we are going to just jump right into it with…

Cincinnati vs. Atlanta 32-39
Well this was not the T.O and Ocho Show but more of the Ryan and White Show, even though the Bengals did make a late run though, but was quickly subsided by another Atlanta touchdown. Atlanta had a nice bounce back game, after a loss to the Eagles the week before and the Bengals I believe just have too many distractions on that team to be good. Football is not the most important thing to all the players and you know who I’m talking about, so as long as that exist, going to be near impossible to be a good team. The Bengals will host Miami next week that will be very upset but talk about that later, and Atlanta will enjoy their success with a Bye week and look forward to the Bucs in week 9.

Washington vs. Chicago 17-14
The question that has to be asked is if they had kept Kyle Orton would their team be better now? Yes, there is more upside to Jay Cutler but Cutler seems to care about his completion percentage and doesn’t care if it’s completed to his team or the other. This game should have been a nice win for the Bears but Cutlers 4 picks were the difference in the game, killing opportunities and putting drives to a halt. Will we see the backup in Chicago soon? Only time will tell, but for Washington Torrain is looking to be a solid back so if you got him in fantasy off the waiver wire good job. He ran for over a 100 yards and gave good opportunities for the Redskins to be successful. Washington at the end of the day has to feel lucky and that they got by with one, Chicago has to be sick and about tired of Cutler and something will need to change soon. The Redskins will take on the Lions next week, with the Lions coming off a bye, and the Bears will use a much needed Bye week to figure some things out. On a side note DeAngelo Hall had all 4 interceptions against Cutler, so note to Cutler don’t throw it his way.

Philadelphia vs. Tennessee 19-37
This was a game that you thought Philadelphia was going to take over and just run away with it, but the Titans defense stayed strong and leaving damage minimal. The Eagles though did have a lead of 16-10 going into the 4th quarter, and then it was like the Titans offense figured it out. Now Chris Johnson did not have a huge day, he did not run for over a 100 yards, but Kenny Britt was the man this day with three touchdown catches. The Titans scored 27 points in the 4th quarter to put this game away.  So the question in Philadelphia is will we see Vick next week? I think the answer to that is yes because he is just that dynamic. Vick will get another week rest though because the Eagles will be on their Bye week giving him plenty of time to get healthier and ready to play, while the Titans will take on the Chargers in San Diego and see if they can continue the Chargers woes.

Jacksonville vs. Kansas City 20-42
This was a must win game for Kansas City; they had won their first 3 games and lost the last 2 and if they wanted to prove they can make a run for the playoffs they had to win this one.  The Jaguars coming off a tough loss and having their starting QB out was also in need of a win in a tough division. This game was a close one for about three quarters and then the Chiefs put on the burners with 14 points in the 4th quarter to win by 21. Jacksonville did not miss Garrard as much as I thought, the backup did not do badly but I am sure there would have been a certain confidence level if Garrard would have played. The Chiefs are showing they are going to be tough for any opponent even though their defense is showing it’s holes, the offense is stepping it up. The Chiefs will face a Buffalo team that is looking like it is putting it together, and the Jaguars will face the Cowboys in a much needed win.

Pittsburgh vs. Miami 23-22
Well as I said earlier we would get to this game, and let’s get to it, Miami played a good game against a superior opponent and I am a Dolphins fan and I can admit that the Steelers team is better but on this day they were not, but were rewarded as if they were. Big Ben dived into the end zone and the referee with the back view quickly calls it a touchdown even though the ball came loose and the first mistake was they did not find out who came up with the ball in the pile. Then the call is challenged, it is rules a fumbled, but since they did not do their job the first time and no clear cut evidence on video the Steelers are given the ball back on the half yard line. They kick the field goal and take the lead and ultimately win the game.  Only thing I really have to say is referees need to do a better job in those scenario’s you cost a team a game, that ultimately could cost coaches their job, players losing salary, management being replaced, and  no telling what else. So for the job you do I hope you understand you have a big responsibility, and should never be taken lightly. The Dolphins will go up to Cincinnati to face the Bengals were the Dolphins are 3-0 on the road and the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Saints and im going on the record that I will be Anti-Steelers for the rest of the season.

Cleveland vs. New Orleans 30-17
Well this is one of those gut hitting, knock your breath out, demoralize, make you want to retire losses here for the Saints. The Browns came into their home and knocked them around and made the Saints look like one of the worse teams in the NFL. Bree’s throws four picks in this game that ultimately is the reason the Browns win this game, but as the Browns will tell you today a win is a win. Colt McCoy did not throw all that well in his 2nd start in the NFL but he did get his first win.  The Browns will get a Bye week to try to game plan for the Patriots when they face them in Week 9, and the Saints will take on the Steelers and as I said just a minute before I hope the Saints beat them down.

St. Louis vs. Tampa Bay 17-18
This game I think everybody knew was going to be a close one, it was two young teams that are on the rise and both play pretty good defense. It has looked as if the Rams had put this game away and was going to leave with the victory. Then Josh Freeman shows he is not a bad QB either and leads the Bucs down the field and throws for a touchdown with just seconds left on the clock, not giving Sam Bradford enough time to make any kind of drive of his own. This was just a good hard fought game that could have gone either way; I will be looking forward to seeing success from both these teams in the future.  The Rams will take on the Panthers to try to get back to .500 and the Bucs will take on the Cardinals in Arizona.

San Francisco vs. Carolina 20-23
This was supposed to be a game that would get 49ers back on track, they just got their first win the week before and this was the one that was going to give them two straight but Carolina had different plans. The 49ers did come out and look like they had it in hand with an early score to Vernon Davis, but Carolina did not flinch and had it tied 10-10 at halftime. The second half the difference was the 3rd quarter the 49ers were shut out and in the 4th they tried to make a run but it was not enough. The big news for the 49ers was Alex Smith was replaced by David Carr and has to see if this is going to be a long term thing. Carolina should not be considered on the rise or putting things together they just beat another team that is not very good. Carolina will take on the Rams next week and the 49ers will go against the Broncos.

Buffalo vs. Baltimore 34-37
Well who were these Bills and where have they been all season? They came out on fire and Ryan Fitzpatrick was looking like an all-pro. They jumped out to a huge early lead on the Ravens being up 24-3 at one time in the first half but went to halftime 24-20. The Ravens came out in the 2nd half and played much better taking the lead in the 3rd quarter but Buffalo made a comeback of their own in the 4th quarter to take the game into OT and in OT the Ravens were able to put the game away with a field goal. The Bills should look at that game though in a good way being able to do what they done against a tough Ravens defense.  The Ravens defense should look at it as they cannot take a game off and with Ed Reed back though they should improve. The Bill will take on Kansas City and the Ravens will take a week off for their Bye week and get an extra week to prepare for the Dolphins.

Arizona vs. Seattle 10-22
What would you know Seattle plays good defense and take care of the ball offense and they were able to win another game. It did not help that the Cardinals had 5 turnovers in the game to make it little easier on the Seahawks but sometimes that’s how it goes. The Cardinals are in need of nothing more than a QB that can pass the ball effectively and could be a good team. The Seahawks are making a strong push to win the NFC West and look to be more effective with Lynch at RB now. I’m not sold on the Seahawks but I’m not dismissing them yet either, they will play the Raiders next week. Arizona will get an opportunity to rebound against Tampa Bay.

Oakland vs. Denver 59-14
This was supposed to be a nice easy game for the Broncos to get them back to winning some games but nobody told Oakland this because they came out like a bat out of hell. McFadden ran the ball very effectively and scored 3 touchdowns, the Denver’s defense was about nonexistent. It was just one of those games for Denver that you just sit back and scratch your head on what happened and have to move on. They still have good pieces to the puzzle on offense and looking like the defense is missing a few but their team is better than their record would suggest. The Broncos will take on the 49ers next week and the Raiders will take on the Seahawks.

New England vs. San Diego 23-20
I am not sure what to make of the Chargers this year except they have a really good QB and that is about it. It is almost like can you give Rivers to Arizona and let them make a playoff push.  The Patriots played a good game but the Chargers came soaring back at the end of the game and do to a new field goal kicker missed the chance to win the game. The Patriots are getting lucky last few games, escaping with narrow victories but great teams find a way to win. The Chargers have to figure out something on offense but that is what you get sometimes when you trust a rookie RB to be the leader of your rushing game. The Patriots will face the Vikings next week and the Chargers will have to face a tough Tennessee team.

Minnesota vs. Green Bay 24-28
This game was I thought everything I thought it would be, we had big plays made by the QB’s, had defensive stops, and of course questionable calls by the refs. The big stories of course are the QB’s and they both had their success and both had their interceptions and at the end of the game though it was Aaron Rodgers getting his first victory over Brett Favre in three tries. Childress though looks like he is growing tired of Favre and was critical of him after the game. Have to see if they give Jackson a chance to prove himself once again at QB, but only time will tell. The running game for Green Bay had its moments but the offense goes as Aaron Rodgers does so have to keep an eye out on that. The Packers will have to face the Jets next week and the Vikings will face the Patriots.

That is what is going on so far in Week 7, a few questionable calls in the Dolphins and Vikings game maybe cost those teams a win, but the big thing was no hits were really flagged for helmet to helmet so maybe the NFL will calm down a little bit. This year is still proven to be one where picking a game is about impossible because by the time you think you have it figured out well something else changes. Stay tuned will have Mondays Game Posted Tuesday Morning.

So Far In Week 6....

Well it has been another Sunday, so that means we had another week of Football and once again it did not disappoint. Let me ask you this for the people that pick games, are you struggling as bad as I am? It seems as soon as I have this figured out something happens and like chaos it all changes and something that is not supposed to happen, well it happens. Let’s get to the games though:

Seattle @ Chicago 23-20
Well before this meeting the last four meetings the home team won, but not the case this week. If Mike Martz is going to continue having 4 and 5 WR sets and Cutler is going to continue hold on to the ball then Chicago is going to be in trouble, and even more so Cutlers health. There has been 18 Sacks in last 2 games that Cutler played that is not good, and what surprised me even more was there were only 12 rushes in the game for Chicago. You have to give credit to Seattle though they do play a strong run defense and offense came alive, it is good to see they did not waste the bye week but came out ready to play the Bears. The duo of Forsett and Lynch could be a good one from how things looked Sunday but have to give it a few more weeks to find out. The Seahawks will play the Cardinals next week in which should be a game that lets us know if Seattle can play 2 weeks in a row against a team they should beat, and Chicago will take on the tough Redskins.

Miami @ Green Bay 23-20
Could it be the AFC East is the best division in Football? The only 2 losses that Dolphins have so far are against the Jets and the Patriots but it’s a long season and too early to crown a division champs. I think the Dolphins read my article on them because they actually ran the ball Sunday against the Packers and ran the ball well. Brown and Williams combined for 137 yards rushing on a combined 32 rush attempts and Henne threw for 237 yards. The defense bent but they did not break, making some big plays when they needed them most. Biggest news in the game is Polite did not convert a 3rd and 1 which would his first attempt he did not convert in 3 years. On the Packers side of the ball the offensive line needs some work Cameron Wake for the Dolphins got to Rodgers 3x and put pressure on him a bunch during the game.  Packers are going to have to make some changes on the offense to become more effective but for the mean time can we say they are missing Ryan Grant. They did put a late drive together to take this game into OT and after stopping the Dolphins they got stopped as well, and Dolphins kicked FG to win. The Packers will take on the Vikings next week that I believe is a must win for both teams, and the Dolphins road gets no easier when they take on the Steelers.

San Diego @ St. Louis 17-20
The Chargers were going to walk in to Rams and beat up on them then jump back on the plane and head home, only problem was nobody told the Rams. The Rams played good ball for about 3 and ½ quarters kind of got sloppy near the end but they still played good enough to beat the Chargers. The first thing I take away from this game is Marc Clayton out equaled no problem because Bradford is going to be a big time QB in this league. The second thing I took away from this game is how much disarray are the Chargers in? I think right about now the Chargers are seeing how important L.T was to them and if they could go back they would probably held onto him but since they can’t the Jets say thank you. I think Norv Turner job has to be on the hot seat and he better go on a run before a change is made during the season.  Turner’s job security though gets no break when they have to go to New England and take on the Patriots, and the Rams will travel to Tampa Bay that will be an interesting matchup.

Baltimore @ New England 20-23
This was a game that the Ravens looked like they were going to out and just beat up on the Patriots but if you know New England they have a knack for staying around, and when they need to make plays Brady can make them. I think the big story was to see how they would do without Moss and plugging in Deion Branch, well Branch went 9 receptions 98 yards with 1 touchdown.  The Ravens defense played well all game but they seemed to get tired in the 4th quarter that allowed Brady and company to score 10 points in the 4th quarter to tie up the game and send it to OT. The Ravens did get the ball first in OT but was held by the Patriots Defense were then the Pats went down and set up for the field goal and won the game. The good news for the Ravens even in a loss is that their offense is starting to look a lot better and starting to gel, which means by end of season they could be a hard force to stop. The Ravens will look to take on the Bills and get back on track and the Patriots will take on the Chargers.

Detroit @ New York Giants 20-28
I think we can all agree that Detroit is a better team than the 1-4 record coming in to these game shows. Their offense is young and talented and I could see a big force to deal with in the next few years, the question is can Stafford stay healthy long enough to put it all together.  The Giants started off shaky but since then have started to put things together and are going to be a tough team for anybody to beat. The Giants were productive in every quarter scoring exactly one touchdown in every quarter. The Lions struggled but kept clawing at the Giants but their effort was null and void once Jacob scored in the 4th quarter to put it away. The Lions will get a week to rest and see what changes needed to be made in their bye week, and the Giants look forward to a showdown with the Cowboys on Monday Night Football next week.

Atlanta @ Philadelphia 17-31
Atlanta was looking to be an elite team this year with some big victories over some big teams and only loss was to a very good Steelers team. Philadelphia has looked good but not sure how Kolb would do against a tough opponent. How does 23-29, 326 yards, and 3 touchdowns sound? Now the question is not whether Kolb can handle the job but should he be the first stringer again. Philadelphia could do no wrong in this game, and Atlanta had no answers for them. Atlanta tried to muster something up in the 3rd quarter but it was quickly answered by the Eagles and I think everybody knew by 4th quarter this game was over. The big concern now for the Eagles is how long DeSean Jackson will be out after taking that violent hit in the game and suffering a concussion. Atlanta will look to have a bounce back game against Cincinnati and the Eagles will take on the Tennessee Titans.

Cleveland @ Pittsburgh  10-28
This game was over before it started, Cleveland starting 3rd string QB rookie Colt McCoy and Big Ben was back for the Steelers. Big Ben started the game off shaky and had an interception but he brought a dynamic to the offense they have not had yet and I think because of this it could catapult them to the best in the league. Big Ben did end up throwing for 3 touchdowns for the game, and surprisingly enough Colt McCoy did not look as bad as well I thought he would. He ended up throwing 23-33 for 281 yards and a touchdown, now he did have 2 interceptions. This could be something positive for the Browns and something to build on, my guess is we will see Colt McCoy again next week and next week the Browns will take on the Saints, while Pittsburgh will go to South Beach to take on the Dolphins.

New Orleans @ Tampa Bay 31-6
I honestly thought this was one game that Tampa Bay could win with their strong defense and offense that takes care of the ball, but what I did not realize was the Saints would wake up and remember how good their offense really is. This game was dominated by the Saints only allowing 6 points to the Bucs but more impressive actually scoring 31 points. Drew Brees went Drew Brees throwing for 3 touchdowns instead of settling for Field Goals like they had been doing. Tampa’s offense could not get going and while I don’t think this is a back breaker for the Buccaneers I do think it will give other teams lot more confidence playing them. Tampa Bay tries to show this loss was just a fluke against the Rams, while the Saints take on Cleveland and try to keep that offense rolling.

Kansas City @ Houston 31-35
This game was for Kansas City to lose and they did just that, allowing Houston to come back and take this victory from them. Kansas City kept putting it on the Texans but Houston had an answer for them every time. The defense pretty much went out the window for both teams in the second half and it was who could score more and that is not a good game to get into with the Texans with all their weapons. The good thing you can take from this game for the Chiefs is that Bowe actually caught two touchdown passes and held onto them, and they scored some offensive points instead of special teams and defense scoring it for them. Kansas City will be a tough team to play all year and next week they will take on the Jaguars, and the Texans will take their bye week to prepare for the Colts in week 8.

New York Jets @ Denver Broncos 24-20
J-E-T-S, New York right now is wild about their Jets. Might have been a controversial call in this game that could have given the Jets the win but never the less they played a good team and won once again making that Ravens game a distant memory. The Broncos are unfortunate of a very tough schedule but are better than there 2-4 record indicates. Orton did have a hard time passing the ball against the Jets which proves that their defense is no joke; Orton was 14-34 for 209 yards and 1 touchdown. For all you Tebow fans out there he did score a touchdown. LT had 2 scores and was effective on the ground once again. The Jets look like one of the teams to beat in the AFC making up one of the teams in that very competitive AFC East division. The Broncos I think will have a bounce back game against the Raiders.  The Jets will get to enjoy their victory for one more week and get ready to play the Packers.

Oakland @ San Francisco 9-17
The owner from the 49ers said that they would make the playoffs and getting their first win, hey maybe he is right, but they were playing Oakland. Campbell passed miserably and the Raiders could not get anything going on the offensive side of the ball, and Frank Gore went off running the ball rushing for 149 yards. This game was not the prettiest victories in the world but none the less it was a victory for the 49ers and it was a much needed one. The Raiders are the Raiders and until they get more consistent you cannot trust them against anybody. The 49ers will try to use that victory to get another one against the Carolina Panthers, and the Raiders will take on the Broncos.
Dallas @ Minnesota 21-24
This game was dubbed the must win for both teams or you are pretty much not making the playoffs. Well Minnesota won and they might be right because Dallas is one of the toughest divisions you can play in. What kills me about Dallas is they have good offense and good defense but it seems they make stupid mistakes. Favre did what he needed to do to get the win but this was a very tight game and played until the end. The Cowboys just could not do enough to get the victory. Wade Phillips job is on the hot seat and unless something happens dramatically you can see big coaching changes for the Cowboys next year at every level. The Cowboys will have a showdown with Conference Rivals Giants on Monday Night Football and the Vikings take on the Packers.

Indianapolis @ Washington 27-24
There is not a whole lot to say about this game except the fact if Washington’s defenders could hold on to a ball then Washington maybe wins this game. There had to be at least 3 dropped interceptions and 2 being pretty easy. Washington did stay close though in this game and is showing their knack is to stay close and win in the end. The only problem in this game is they did not win. Torrain pretty much ran over the Colts and the Colts when they touched him could not tackle him, but Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning and made the plays needed to score the points to win. The only other game note was the horrible call on 4th and 10 to throw a bomb down the field which of course was incomplete. I understand if it works then great call but it didn’t so horrible call. Washington will take on the Bears next week and the Colts get a week to rest in their bye week.

This is what is going on in Week 6 of the NFL so far, the biggest story of the NFL this week was all the concussions that happened. Safety is gaining a lot of traction and could see some big rule changes next year in the NFL. Also Brett Favre is going to see the Goodell on Tuesday so a suspension could be looming. Enjoy Monday Night Football update will be available Tuesday if you miss it.

*************************UPDATE**************************

Monday Night Football

Tennessee @ Jacksonville

This game was pretty cut and dry, Tennessee dominated Jacksonville and did it with pretty much their backup QB Collins. Vince Young was out of the game with no not a concussion but a knee injury but Jacksonville QB Garrard was knocked out with a concussion. Jacksonville I think is the weak link in this division and had a few good games but see it all evening out here soon. Tennessee though to me is the real deal playing good defense, good offense, pass the ball well, run the ball, and make big plays. Have to wait for update on Vince Young they called it a sprain not a tear so he could be ready to play next week.

Until next week.

So Far In Week 5.....

Jaguars @ Bills 36-26
Well the Bills came out on fire in this game looking like a team ready to get their first win, but Jacksonville did not panic and held strong. The Jaguars tied up the game going into half time and that was about all she wrote after that, they came out the second half and put the smack down on the Bills. The Bills are in desperate need of some pieces to their puzzle, Fitzpatrick is probably not the answer at QB and need some offensive line help. Jaguars are looking pretty good now and could be a force to reckon with in the AFC south. Jacksonville will be at home against the Titans next week, and the Bills will try to get some problems figured out in their bye week.

Buccaneers @ Bengals 24-21
Well I’m not sure to give congrats to the Bucs or slap the coaches of Bengals. Did they not watch film, did they not know that the strong suit of the Bucs were defense? Still have to give credit to the Bucs for winning the game, but I think Bengals shot themselves in the foot with playing mistakes and coaching mistakes. On the upside for Cincy is Benson had 23 carries for 144 yards and Owens has had back to back 100 yard games. Far as Tampa goes you have to like their defense they play very well and the offense is coming around under Josh Freeman this could be something special in the making, have to wait and see. Tampa has the Saints coming down to them in a very winnable game for them, and Bengals will enjoy their bye week.

Falcons @ Browns 20-10
Believe this or not but the Browns actually went into halftime with a 7-6 lead. After the third quarter it was only 13-7. The Browns have some talented players it’s just they don’t have all the pieces to the puzzle yet, but with Mike Holmgren as the mastermind of the team, it will get better. Falcons though have a solid team on defense and on offense and are my pick to win the NFC South over the Saints. Matt Ryan is not playing all worlds but he is playing very solid, and with Michael Turner back their running game has been solidified once again. Atlanta will travel to Philadelphia to have a Falcon vs. Eagle battle, and the Browns are fortunate to get the Steelers.

Rams @ Lions 6-44
Well I think most thought this would be a close game but that the Lions or the Rams could squeak it out, just whoever had ball last. Well the Lions showed that their offense is high octane. The defense I am not sold on but that offense can hang with some people. The Rams were going for 3 straight wins but with an early exit of Marc Clayton with a knee injury it put some strain on the offense. The Lions though should have saved some of those points for next week when they take on the Giants, and the Rams will try to bounce back against the Chargers who are not good away but they are home where they been excellent.

Chiefs @ Colts 9-19
What can you say about the Chiefs except I think they lost this game for themselves? Did they not realize at beginning of the game every point could matter and that’s why they didn’t kick the f/g early in the game or was it because they did not have faith in their defense to slow down the Colts? Well either way the Chiefs defense is for real, and the Chiefs are for real. The Colts are kind of scary this year, you just don’t know how they are going to do, and Peyton Manning almost seems disinterested out on the field now. Colts will get to look better against Washington next week at Washington, and the Chiefs look to go 4-1 against the Texans.

Packers @ Redskins 13-16
Well I will be the first to say I drank the Packers Kool-Aid and thought every team was going to struggle to compete with them, well I might have been little wrong but I will say Ryan Grant going down hurt them a ton. The Redskins in this game did not seem like they were doing much but they just would not go away, they stuck around and stuck around, until they tied the game up with a FG at end of game to tie it up to take it to overtime. Then a pick by Rodgers and a few offensive plays by Redskins gave them the game winning FG to beat the Packers. The Packers should have tried to get Lynch at RB but what is done is done. The Packers will face Miami at home next week, and the Redskins will take on the Colts at home, can Redskins upset it two weeks in a row?

Bears @ Panthers 23-6
Did the Panthers forget they have two stud running backs? Did they forget their QB is a rookie, or that their best WR was out? Well I will tell you this Bears did not forget that Cutler was out and that Collins is not the man, because they gave the Panthers a heavy dose of run, run, and run. This is what is surprising Forte had 22 Carries for 166 yards, but leading rusher for Panthers was Williams with only 12 Carries for 51 Yards. You can do the math that is averaging over 4 yards per carry and I do understand Bears got on a big early lead but it was the first quarter you don’t abandon your game plan yet. Cutler should be back for the Bears next week due to the sign he was practicing Friday, the Bears will take on the Seahawks at home. The Panthers will try to get their act together against the BYE week, maybe the only “team” they can beat.

Broncos @ Ravens 17-31
I really thought that the Broncos would have played better than they did in this game, but I think that is because of that Ravens Defense that is just well good. Orton still threw for over 300 yards which is a good sign if you’re a Broncos fan playing against the Ravens, but the rushing attack well there was none. Joe Flacco did not do much in this game but he didn’t have to, Ray Rice finally decided to show up and play, 27 carries for 133 yards and 2 Touch Downs. The Ravens and the Jets are looking like the teams to beat in the AFC have to keep watching to find out. Denver will take on the Jets next week, and the Ravens will go to battle with the Moss-less Patriots.

Giants @ Texans 34-10
Well this game was I think a surprise to everybody. I don’t think it was much of a shock that Giants won but the fact they made the Texans offense look like a middle school team. If I told you a QB went 16-34 for 196 yards you would of thought it was Manning but no it was Schaub, and if I told you a WR went 12 receptions and 130 yards and 2 TDs you would of thought AJ but no it was Nicks. If the Giants can keep playing this well on offense and play that stingy defense keep your eye on them, as far as the Texans go they need to turn this around and do it quickly. Unfortunately they will have to try against another stingy defense in the Chiefs, and the Giants will try to beat the Lions back down to reality.

Saints @ Cardinals 20-30
I will be first one to say that I thought the Saints would have a double digit win over the Cardinals, especially with that beast of a QB that Cardinals were playing Max Hall, but it was just not the case. You almost have to ask yourself is the Saints really any good this year? It is a question I keep asking and I keep coming up with yes but it is starting to fade into a no. The Cardinals I will give them credit for beating the Saints but I am not sold on them, I do not think Max Hall is the answer but QB’s have came out of nowhere before, so we will see. Max Hall will get another opportunity in Week 7 because Week 6 they will enjoy a Bye and the Saints will take on the Bucs down in Tampa.

Titans @ Cowboys 34-27
How about dem Boys? Jerry Jones has to be ready to go to his grave seeing his team play this bad, especially with all those Super Bowl talks in the preseason. Really what’s scary about this team is I’m not sure if that there good just playing good teams, or if they are just not really good at all. I will have to give credit to the Titans they played a hard fought game and never game up and came out with the victory. CJ went CJ again and had 19 carries for 131 yards and 2 TDS and I think he is the key to the Titans success not Vince Young. The Cowboys will try to go 2-3 against the Vikings next week and the Titans will look to stay in the fight for the AFC south against the Jaguars.

Chargers @ Raiders 27-35
By time this game ended I was no longer surprised what could happen in the NFL, of course I thought Chargers would beat the Raiders because offense is better and looked to have a good defense, well I was wrong and if you had the Raiders stop lying to me and yourself. Phillip Rivers had a career day out there throwing for 431 yards but somehow the Chargers defense managed to make the Raiders offense look all pro. It was a good day though for you if you had Chargers offense on your Fantasy team but not so good if you’re just a Chargers fan. The Raiders are the Raiders and don’t get to excited to think you guys are back yet, you will get a chance to prove it next week against the 49ers that are a winless team and the Chargers go on road where they been horrible against the Rams.

Eagles @ 49ers 27-24
Alex Smith looks like he should be picking up garbage rather than playing QB in NFL, then all of a sudden he looks like the second coming of Steve Young. In order for him to keep his job and to be successful in this league he will have to learn to be consistent. I do not have much to say about the Eagles because I honestly believe the 49ers beat themselves way more than Eagles beat them. I will say Kolb enjoy your time at QB soon as Vick comes back your back to the pine. The 49ers will try to get their first win next week against the Raiders, while the Eagles will take on the Falcons at home.

Unpredictable, Crazy, Mayhem, Surprises, and not to many sure things, that is what is going so far in Week 5…come back tomorrow to get MNF update.

Vikings @ Jets

Well this one got started off late because of the lighting delay, but once it started looked like the Jets were only ones ready to play. Well I hate to say only ones because the Vikings defense looked ready but the Offense not so much. In usual fashion though late 3rd quarter Brett Favre started to bring back the Vikings and then in usual Favre he throws an interception at end of game to seal it. As far as the Jets go Sanchez has looked much better even though he struggled in 2nd half of the game, and L.T is back my freinds, I don't know if he can play a whole season like he is playing but if he can watch out. The Vikings will take on the Cowboys and The Jets go to Denver to take on the Broncos.

So Far In Week 4

49ers @ Falcons
Well can we say the San Francisco 49ers are the only team 0-4 that could easily be 2-2 or even 3-1? They have some bad bounces and just cannot finish a game. They gave the Falcons a real scare in the Georgia Dome and at times making the Falcons Offense look awful. The 49ers definitely have the skilled players to be a good team but looks like they are missing something, maybe a QB? The Falcons improved their record to 3-1 to keep pace with the Saints in their division that should be a division that goes down to the wire. The Dirty Birds will go up to Cleveland to take on the Browns, and the 49ers just don’t get a break they have to take on the Eagles at home, but with no Vick could be a game they could win.

Jets @ Bills
Well not to take Dennis Green’s words from him but the Jets are who we thought they were, they are who we thought they were. After the loss to the Ravens in week 1 a bunch of questions were raised about the Jets, well I think those questions have been answered after beating everybody in their division in 3 straight weeks. Looks like L.T is showing he still has some gas in the tanks and Sanchez can make a few passes. The Bills on the other hand just are not a good team, and need some major help. Fitzpatrick is not the long term answer and they need some solid WR’s on the outside. They have plenty of RB’s to spare, hey maybe Gailey is playing to lose so they can get Ryan Mallett. The Bills though will continue their journey against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Jets will take on the Minnesota Vikings which should be a heavy defensive game.

Bengals @ Browns
Watching Seneca Wallace play makes you wonder why he has never started before? He doesn’t have the typical size of a QB that you like to see but it seems like he can just flat out make plays. He did it at Iowa State and looks like he can do it in the NFL. The Browns are not going to win any division this year and not going to make playoffs but they can say they are king of Ohio. The Bengals just came out flat and played that way even though T.O had over 200 yards receiving, they just had problems scoring early in the game. The Bengals will look to bounce back against a tough Tampa team as the Browns will see if they can upset the Falcons at home.

Lions @ Packers
This game was supposed to be a blowout by the Packers, after losing to the Bears the week before they were going to come out and show the world why they are one of the best teams in the NFL, but I guess somebody forgot to tell the Packers. When it looked as the Packers were going to break away with the game, the Lions would close the gap. If I was to say a QB threw for over 300 yards in this game you would of thought well of course Aaron Rodgers did but nope it was Shaun Hill. Rodgers only had 181 yards passing. Also for you fantasy owners out there looks like Calvin Johnson might start living up to all the hype that he has had, and go back to being Megatron. The Lions looks to get their first win against a hot Rams team, while the Packers take on Washington that could be tougher for them than it looks on paper.

Broncos @ Titans
Not to brag about this but I think I picked the Broncos on our radio show to beat the Titans as my guarantee pick of the week. The Broncos spread the ball around really well on offense and even though the running game is suffering with Knoshown Moreno out the goods side is when he comes back you know he will be taking right back over. Kyle Orton is proving to be a great commodity for the Broncos and sooner or later could have a situation like the Chargers did with Rivers and Brees. As far as the Titans go if C.J wants to get to 2500 yards rushing or even 2000 he better start to get going second week in a row rushing for under a 100 yards. The Titans are a front runner if they get up big you can take it to the bank but if they have a team that is willing to fight back they can’t hold on. The Broncos take their 2-2 record to Baltimore to play that tough defense, and the Titans have to play those Cowboys looking to get their second win of the season.

Seahawks @ Rams
Well I was right about one thing about this game that Stephen Jackson wouldn’t run wild on the Seahawks averaging only 3.1 yards per rush, but I was wrong on the winner. I did not think the Rams defense could play well enough to pretty much shut out the Seahawks offense. The Seahawks have been inconsistent all year and if you have any of their players on offense in Fantasy Football I would bench them. Sam Bradford is showing that he is going to be a star in this league and I send out my congrats to the Rams for taking a chance on this QB and looking so far like it will work out. The Rams will take on the Lions and either the Lions will get their first win or the Rams will be 3-2, now that would be something. The Seahawks get a week to try to fix their issues during their bye week.

Panthers @ Saints
I can honestly say I don’t have any more excuses for the Saints offense, without Reggie Bush in there it seems to change the dynamics of their offense’s ability to score TD’s. Do I think they will get it together yes, but they need to fast or they could see themselves losing their division and having to get a wild card bid to the playoffs. As far as the Panthers go, I like the fact they have Jimmy Clausen playing because if you’re going to be bad might as well be bad with a QB that could be your future instead of a QB your looking to be your past. Carolina has talented RB’s and their defense is not bad but until a QB plays solid for them they are not going to win many games. The Panthers will try to make it 2 losses in a row for the Bears and the Saints will take on the Cardinals.

Ravens @ Steelers
This game I thought I literally saw Flacco become a big time QB right in front of my eyes. The Ravens blow it on the goal line and looking like the game was going to be over but they get the ball back with less than 2 minutes on the clock. Flacco responds with a 4-4 40 yard effort throwing the winning touchdown. Now for you Steelers fans do not worry because I will say if you had Big Ben in there you guys would have won. Having Ben is worth at least 7 points and he would of made a difference in this game. The wait is over next game you get your Big Ben back and he might be rusty a game or two but the Steelers have a legit opportunity to make a Super Bowl run. Fortunately Ben comes back against a team he has always done well against and that is the Browns, while the Ravens will take on the Broncos that will be a tough matchup for the Ravens.

Texans @ Raiders
You almost have to ask yourself are the Texans as good as we have made them out to be? They did beat the Colts but so did Jacksonville, they did beat the Redskins in a come from behind victory and they beat Oakland. I think some questions have been raised about this team but I think they are solid; Arian Foster is running the ball very well and could be a threat for the Rushing Title. AJ was out this game but should be back soon that will give them that added weapon on the outside. Far as the Raiders go they are bad and they need a few things on offense to really turn their team around, just like the Bills they could be on the Ryan Mallet sweepstakes. The Raiders will take on the Chargers next week and the Texans get to go against that pass rush of the Giants.

Colts @ Jaguars
Well me and a buddy were talking about this game and he was telling me how he could not see how the Jags could stay in this game, and I reminded him the Jags always play the Colts tough. Well he thought I was crazy but look at here, the Jags not only played them tough but beat the Colts. Manning of course still went off but the Jags found a way to win. The Colts have to be worried about their defense and how they are going to stop people all year long. The funny part is the Jaguars and the Colts are both 2-2. The Colts will look to give the Chiefs their first loss, while the Jaguars have a pretty easy matchup by NFL standards against the Bills.

Redskins @ Eagles
Well the fans of Philly gave Donovan McNabb love for about 30 seconds and then boo birds came back. The biggest news about this game is that Vick was knocked out with reports of broken ribs. You can tell the Eagles are a different team with Kolb in there; the defense can play the pass causing the offense not have as many big plays and giving more opportunity for Kolb to make a mistake. The Redskins did not look great but Clinton Portis was rushing with a purpose, as well as Torain was. If you missed the game you should see the hit Torain put on the defender just knocking him over gives me flash backs of Bo Jackson but not to that degree. The Redskins look to take the division lead against the Packers, while the Eagles try to keep pace against the 49ers.

Cardinals vs. Chargers
Hey there was the Derek Anderson we know, throwing interceptions and stalling out his team. The Cardinals are in dire need of a QB and they have too much talent on offense not to go find them one. The Chargers defense looked like the best defense of the decade against the Cardinals causing turnovers and mayhem for the Cardinals. Phillip Rivers and Gates got it done on the offensive side of the ball, and going to need more performances like this one to make a run in the Playoffs. The Chargers take a road trip down to Oakland, and the Cardinals get to take on the Saints.

Bears @ Giants
There is not a whole lot to say about this game, neither offense really looked great but the story is all the sacks on Jay Cutler by the Giants. Cutler ended up having a concussion but who did not see that coming with all the sacks he was taking, I believe there were 9 in the first half. Cutler needs to go buy his offensive line a Rolex and dinner so they will block for him or something. I do believe though the Bears will bounce back when the play the Panthers and the Giants will have their hands full against the Texans offense.

That’s what been going on so far in week 4, and just like the 3 previous weeks irony and parody just keep popping up. Sooner or later the games will have to start becoming more like we think they are going to go but until then enjoy the games. I will have MNF results up by Tuesday Morning.

*******************UPDATE*************************

Patriots vs. Dolphins

This game looked like Dolphins were going to have in control, until the second half started and the Pats special teams took over the game with a kickoff return for a touchdown, a blocked punt that put the pats offense on the 18 yard line, and a punt block for a touchdown. Chad Henne did not have his best game but the running game was still looking good (Refer to What are the dolphins thinking)Both teams have a Bye week to celebrate and to try to get things right.
