NFL Week 6 - Fantasy Football Tuesday Afternoon Hangover

I apologize for this being posted late today, I am currently am having technical difficulties with posting the Tuesday Morning Hangover. Hopefully it’ll be the Tuesday Afternoon Hangover, but we will have to see when I can get this to post. So instead of boring you with the mindless, cookie-cutter rants I go on about, I’m going to get right into it today instead of babbling on like I normally do.

Top Shelf
QBs
Kevin Kolb – He’s finally showing why he was named the starter that the beginning of the year, but he is still being called the back up even after a 326/1 performance.
Aaron Rodgers – For a guy who had a concussion and started the week with a Q tag and still managed to play, he pulled off a good game (313/1 + 1 Rushing TD) in a losing effort.
Honorable Mention: M. Schaub (Finally), M. Cassel, T. Romo, D. Brees, B. Roethlisberger

RBs
Ryan Torain – The breakout performance I, myself, as a Redskins fan has been waiting for, but also many of you fantasy owners out there were questioning if Torain was the real deal, well with 100/2 I believe he’s proving his worth of the wavier claim.
Arian Foster – This was a nice bounce back after a dismal week previously. Foster only went for 71/2, but it was the 2 TDs are what help any fantasy owner to victory.
Honorable Mention: C. Johnson, L. Tomlinson, T. Jones, S. Jackson, C. Ivory

WRs
Jermey Maclin – This was a great showing and a reassuring one for the Eagles with D-Jax going down for at least next week, but the show that Maclin put on going for 159/2 on only 7 receptions/targets.
Dwayne Bowe – Going from possible dropping this guy and hearing rumors he may be cut to putting up 108/2. I’m still not sold on the fact that he’s going to continue this trend, but if you got him this would be a nice time to try and getting something out of him.
Honorable Mention: C. Johnson, A. Johnson, G. Jennings, D. Jackson

TEs
Benjamin Watson – Even with a rookie (Colt McCoy) throwing to him Watson found away to produce (88/1) and continue on his quiet but solid year.
Tony Gonzalez – Even with getting a decent number of targets Gonzalez is still lacking in yards this year, but he’s still producing in the End Zone and this past Sunday was no different with 19/2.
Honorable Mention: H. Miller, B. Scaife, T. Heap

Bargain Bin
QBs
**Byes this week: P. Manning, M. Schaub, and M. Sanchez**
If you’re trolling the Waiver Wire to fill in for one of these guys look at:
Alex Smith – He’s playing the 22nd worst Pass Def. and has the weapons around him to come up with a big game.
Josh Freeman – He’s not going to be a bust out player, at least this year, but he’s a solid option at QB to help you by on a Bye Week. Not to mention he’s playing the Rams this week.

RBs
**Byes this week: A. Foster, J. Best, L. Tomlinson, and J. Addai**
The RB pool is looking a little shallow this week for pickups, but if you need one here’s a few for the shallower and a few for the deeper leagues out there…
Shallower:
Marshawn Lynch – It looks like he’s going to get use in Seattle, he’s not going to get any 150 yards days, but 70/1 days are not a stretch anymore for RBs in Seattle.
Brandon Jacobs – If a nervous owner cut Jacobs early on, he’s worth another look now for sure. He’s scored in the last 3 weeks and with Bradshaw’s health being called in the question as it has been lastly he’s just an injury away from a full-time starter again.
Deeper:
Danny Woodhead – A do everything guy, he’s now officially listed as a WR,RB in ESPN Fantasy Leagues. This could be a nice addition to a line if you’re looking for a guy who’s able to give you yards on the ground and through the air. He’s available in nearly 95% of leagues.
Mike Hart - He’s on Bye this week yes, but with Brown hurt and looks to have Addai hurting again and again, Hart’s next in line and bound to get some carries even if it’s just to try and keep the first 2 health a little longer.

WRs
**Byes this week: Colts WRs, A. Johnson, C. Johnson, and Braylon Edwards**
Wide Receivers are hard to have produce constantly, at least once you get out of that top tier, but there is a deep group of guys that you can pick up this week:
Deion Branch (Waiver Claim of the Week) – It looks like Branch is going to replace Moss, not Tate, so if you picked up Tate I’d be trying to replace him with Branch, this would be my waiver claim of the week.
Mike Williams (TB) – This a week long pick up, he’s a decent Fantasy Football player, but he is just too inconstant. This week though, he is playing the Rams, this is a great match up this week for him, but I wouldn’t count on him much past that.
Still Available in 35% of Leagues: K. Britt, J. Gaffney, R.E. Williams
Still Available in 70% of Leagues: S. Johnson, D. Bess, D. Amendola
