NFL Week 7 - Fantasy Football Tuesday Afternoon Hangover

Top Shelf

QBs
Ryan Fitzpatrick – Hmm... This name sounds familiar, oh yea, that’s right I have been praising this guy and telling you, you needed to pick him up!!! If you were in need of a QB at all. Well seems like this week he paid for that WW Claim in a big way going for 374/4, not bad for a player that went largely undrafted and is still not owned in 95% of leagues.
Carson Palmer – I left Palmer for dead a long time ago, not because I don’t think he can’t play, more so because he disappoints. We all have those players who have done us wrong and he is one of mine. Although he had an amazing outing (412/3), he will not repeat this next week, hell maybe not even this year. He is still capable and with the weapons he has you’d think he’d do this every week, but still tread lightly.
Honorable Mention: M. Ryan, E. Manning, J. Flacco

RBs
Darren McFadden – Run DMC sure did run, and even catch one; He rushed for 165/3, but then also caught two passes for 31/1. For a guy saying he was only 70% coming into this game, I’m going to be scared to see what 100% of him coming back is going to do.
Michael Turner – For Turner owners that have been worried about him turning it one this season this was one of those games that you drafted him for, 121/2, now let’s just hope he can keep this going through the bye week this week.
Adrian Peterson – Just another solid game for AP, 131/1 and receiving was 41/0. If Farve has to miss anytime, look to Minnesota to rely on the run game more than ever.
Honorable Mention: K. Moreno, T. Jones, M. Jones-Drew

WRs
Kenny Britt – I had a lot of love for this guy at the beginning of the season, but with the slow preseason and dismal first few weeks, I thought I was wrong on him. Well it looks like he was just a little slow to the party with a huge game this weekend to back up his stellar performance last week.
Roddy White – On any other week he would have been the fantasy stud of the week, but behind Run DMC and K. Britt, White’s 201/2 pales in comparison (as far as point totals).
Lee Evans – A classic boom or bust player, Evans defiantly BOOMED with 105/3, against the Baltimore Defense none the less. Not sure if you should trust him yet, but with Fitzpatrick looking to be a gun slinger, the Bills WRs are only going to benefit from it.
Honorable Mention: D. Gettis, D. Bryant, H. Nicks, S. Johnson

Bottom of the Barrel

Jay Cutler – Throwing 4 picks to one player alone is bad enough, but then after the game saying you still want to continue throwing at him because you think you can beat him, that’s just stupid. Sorry Bear’s fans, looks like you’re in for another long season.
Carolina RBs – The tandem of D-Will and J-Stew has looked pitiful for most of this year to say the least, not giving up on, well D-Will yet, but he’s making it hard.
Brandon Lloyd – I was high on him a few weeks ago and although I’ve come off that cloud some, I still like him. But he’s at least coming back into reality after this past week’s game, but then again the Raiders sure did a number on the Broncos, who knows where their mental state will be after that. Hell, maybe Tebow might get a start at QB. Ha-ha.

Bargain Bin
QBs
**Byes this week: J. Cutler/M. Ryan/J. Flacco/E. Manning**
There are more than a few starters on that list that will be replace this week either by a back up (hopefully) or if not a WW Claim, not to mention the injury to T. Romo last night.
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick – I’ve been saying this for way to long now for him to still only be owned in 5% of leagues.
  • Jon Kitna – Not an every week player here, but this coming week against the horrid pass defense of Jacksonville even Kitna can look good.
  • Chad Henne – Not a bad pick up, he’s only owned in 60% of leagues and he has this target known as Brandon Marshall, he’s going start connecting to him on some TD passes sooner or later, so better get him now before that happens.
  • Matt Moore – Now feeling the best about putting him in here, but he’s now the starter and came up with a 3oo yard game.

RBs
**Byes this week: L. McCoy/M. Forte/P. Hillis/M. Turner/R. Rice/ NYG RBs**
There’s still not a lot of help this week as far as RB pickups, but here’s whatever help I can give you:
  • Chris Ivory – With an undetermined timetable for P. Thomas return, Ivory is looking to be a decent pick to play match ups with.
  • D. Brown / M. Hart – Addai looks to be out for a while at least, but who knows with what minimal information has been given. But there are going against the 24th ranked rush defense so if you can get either one and are desperate for a RB, either one should give you some points.
  • Mike Tolbert – Yes he’s owned in 70% of leagues, and yes he’s a handcuff, but he looks to be the goal line back in SD.

WRs
**Byes this week: NYG WRs/R. White/J. Maclin/A. Boldin/J. Knox**
Well, my Waiver Claim of the Week didn’t work out this past week at least, I still like D. Branch, but he just didn’t do it this last game, but he will. Now on to some more WR that will help you out this week:
  • Kenny Britt – Really if I need to explain this one to you, you might now need to be playing Fantasy Football.
  • Gonzalez/B. White – With D. Clark going down and the ground relying on the 2nd and 3rd deep, they’ll be passing more than ever now. Look for either one of these two to break out this game. Gonz still looks gimpy, so be careful on that one.
  • Lee Evans – He’s available in 35% of leagues. If you can grab him go ahead, he’s already had his bye week and it’s looking he could pay off in big way, now just hope he does it in the weeks you need him to or you could trade him. Ha-ha.
  • David Gettis – No sure on the rookie yet, but he could be playing opposite of Steve Smith which will pull coverage off him.
