Thursday Throwdown

This is the Thursday Throwdown, where we pick the games against the spread using our inventive formula. If you been watching the NFL you will already know this is not a sure thing but this can help you when making picks on ESPN, NFL, CBS, FOX, or wherever or whoever you pick your games from.  Of course this is in good fun so we don’t support using it to gamble. We added some tweaks into the formula to see if it will help it out, we now use turnover ratio and player ratings to help determine the winner. If you like to see all the games you need to go to www.league-legends.com and go to The Informer or click the button on the homepage take you straight there. Here are what I like to call the “Turkey” cause you get 3 and all 3 are going to be good as gold.

Game 1
Seattle  vs. Chicago (-6.5)
The fact is Jay Cutler is back so the deep passes or passing in general will open back up and it’s a good thing because Seattle plays a good run defense so don’t think we will see Forte have a game like he did last week, but the real matchup is Chicago Defense vs. Seattle’s Offense and I think this will be an easy win for Chicago’s Defense. Also have to take in consideration that Seattle has not played well away from home, and even though they did acquire Lynch I don’t think that’s going to put them over the top. Look for a very physical defensive game here but Chicago will make the plays that Seattle’s offense just can’t make.
Winner: Chicago By 14

Game 2
Miami vs. Green Bay (Even)
You have to look at only one thing and that is Miami secondary is young and talented but can be beat, but you have to have a QB that can beat them deep and with Aaron Rodgers out Matt Flynn will take over the helm and I do not like the Matchup for him. Wake will get pressure off the edge and this will lead to turnovers for Green Bay. It would help if they had a solid running game to take some pressure off Flynn but they don’t have that, expect a lot of zone and run blitz. If Green Bay  coaches can muster up a good game-plan to compete than you would have to nod your head to them, but I think it will be closer than some think.
Winner: Miami By 7

New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay (+4)
Tampa Bay is one of those teams we expected to be bad and we are going to hold on to that until they prove us wrong, well I think they already have proved us wrong. They do seem to struggle against good defenses but fortunately for them Saints do not have a good defense. The Saints we kept thinking how good they were going to be and give them week after week to prove us that they are good, but week after week they disappoint. The Saints are averaging only 19 points a game in that “high octane offense” and there defense cannot stop anybody it seems. I do think this game will either be won convincingly by Tampa Bay or be one that that New Orleans wins by a Field Goal either way for the spread you have the same result.
Winner: Tampa Bay By 6
