UFC Fights

Moments before the fight, the air was electric and everybody has already seen some good hard fights, now the fight that everybody paid to see Lesnar vs. Velasquez was about to start. Everybody expecting Lesnar to win this fight hands down in a submission or k.o, and Velasquez not getting the respect that he thought that he deserved was sure to make a good fight. The fight started and Brock shot out the gate with flying knees throwing punches and getting Velasquez to the ground, but Cain was able to make it through and get back on his feet and land big punches on Brock. Then in one wrong move Brock stumbles across the ring and falls to the ground and that was all Cain Velasquez needed he landed a fury of punches on Brock Lesnar getting him to the ground breaking his guard and causing the referee to stop the fight in the first round. So not only did Brock Lesnar lose but Cain Velasquez became the first Mexican American fighter to be Heavyweight champion.
This is what I love about the UFC, even though the “baddest man on the planet” Brock Lesnar can get beat because there are no guarantees in UFC fighting, anybody can beat anybody on any given night and that is the reason I think it is growing more and more popular. It is not like Boxing where it seems that you pretty much know who is going to win before the fight and usually does. With B.J Penn, George St. Pierre, and Anderson Silva still being big draws for pay per view, and people still wanting to see a rematch of Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin, it will only happen if Carwin or Lesnar can win the title from Velasquez. With the UFC everything is unpredictable so we will have to wait and see and enjoy.
