College Football Discussion (9/7/2010)

(Read From Bottom Up)

Jody: in looking at this, this could be the weakest i have ever seen it at the top of the polls...

Jody: i think i like tcu better than boise state

Jody: sec: alabama...maybe lsu if they learn they need to finish a game

Jody: pac-10: i guess maybe oregon, but not really convinced about them either

Jody: big xii: nobody...crazy to say, but that league is pretty down...texas isn't very good

Jody: big east: nobody

Jody: big ten: ohio state...maybe iowa....the rest no way

Justin:: NC runs im seeing Bama right now.. thats about it..

Jody: from acc: miami...maybe unc depending on their roster...will know more about fsu after game at oklahoma this weekend

Justin: Bama, Miami, Ohio St., Oregon maybe

Jody: honestly, i don't see a huge list of teams i feel strongly about being able to make a run

Justin: impressive stats, but wanna see more before i ordain him as being the real deal as a player..

Jody: don't have the great athletes, but iowa also looks very good

Beer-Bombers: Miami did look impressive but it was against FAMU and find out this week what they are made of with Ohio St.

Jody: florida was also very suspect, esp offiensively

Jody: ohio state looks very solid and that game this weekend is HUGE!!

Jody: lsu was less than impressive in their win...they should have crushed unc but let up

Jody: i think alabama looks very strong again...hate to say it, but miami looks back

Jody: so justin, a qb that runs for nearly 200 yds and throws for 186 ins't impressive?!?!?

Jody: i'm not saying he's gonnna be a heisman candidate

Jody: k...the question was most impressive in week 1

Jody: leads michigan and coach rich rodriguez to a huge victory in the new michigan stadium in front of over 113,000

Justin: we'll see man.. if he keeps it up all year great.. it proves that the spread isn't jsut a gimick that is going to be around for a while

Jody: 19-22 for 186 yds and a TD...29 carries for 197 yds and a TD

Jody: lol

Jody: yeah, it's pretty common for a QB to rush for 197 yds in a game

Justin: yea.. the passing numbers yes they are impressive.. the rushing im not sold on him yet..

Jody: i'm gonna say denard robinson, QB from Michigan

Jody: goes without saying terrelle pryor was pretty good as well

Jody: i wouldn't say EASY

Jody: come on justin, don't be a hater...that was an impressive display against a team that by all accounts is supposed to contend in the little east

Justin: and its easy for a quick player to get high rushing totals as a QB there.. I wanna see him do this for at least 3 more games even just post 80-100 yard rushing and 50 -100 passing

Beer-Bombers: that rb from oregon prolly had best game

Jody: denard robinson...threw for 186 yds and ran for 197...and he looked really good

Justin: i wasn't at all and this isn't the bias talking right now.. i know that system very well for obvious reason..

Beer-Bombers: well my player would be Jacory Harris but I would say Defense for Miami

Jody: other player i was very impressed with was the QB from michigan..in a game that west va's previous coach needed to win

Justin: and i donu as far as a team, im gonna say 2 teams i despise but the U or Ohio State

Beer-Bombers: so Jody you don't have a player?

Justin: lol way to be honest jody..

Jody: nah, not now...i'm a fatty

Jody: lol...seriously, he showed how great of an athlete he really is

Justin: i donnu.. im going with out of the three jody's in the best shape..

Jody: for a team, was really impressed with florida state...i know they were playing samford but that was as sharp as i have seen them in yrs

Beer-Bombers: hahhahahha, jody still be running to get to 175 yards

Justin: my vote goes for Yates even in a losing effort

Justin: im not saying he didnt have great stats, but hell you could have returned the ball for 175 jody..

Jody: pretty impressive

Jody: yeah, but peterson showed how friggin fast he was

Jody: totally made unc have to change their game plan

Justin yes and no.. i watched the whole game and their ST were horriffic due to the fact that they had to have their ST players play D and then they had scrubs trying to run ST..

Jody ended up with 257 punt/kick off return yds

Beer-Bombers: that is true justin

Jody: he was a ***** to contend with and caused unc to just punt and kick the ball out of bounds

Jody: i meant unc/lsu...and peterson is on lsu

Justin: the running game just couldnt do anything for them.. only 1 rush over 10 yards it was for 11

Jody: in the unc game, i was pretty impressed with patrick peterson...to have 220+ yds of punt/kickoff returns in a half was incredible

Beer-Bomers: *couldn't

Justin: yea, he knew what he had to do, and did that and more.. but he just could carry the whole team

Justin: but he threw for a ridic amount 412 3 td 0 int.. with one 97 yard pass .. talk about being pinned in deep to a TD

Beer-Bombers: yeah that is true, think that shows his mental toughness?

Justin: most players wouldnt have had the poise to do that vs LSU and les miles..

Beer-Bombers: Tyrod Taylor was pretty impressive to me in a losing effort but he was the offense

Justin: after everything that you know happened.. 7 of 11 d starters out..

Justin: ok.. T.J. Yates, a 4 year starter, who should be looking to make a run at the ACC Champ. but instead has to just try and keep the program afloat

Beer-Bombers: Who do you think had the most impressive performance this week in college football?
