Now on to what you guys are really here for.. Welcome to the Hangover that you love getting every Tuesday morning..
Top Shelf
David Garrad - Good to see that all isn't lost in Jacksonville, but this was one of the few times this year you will see this kind of performance out of Garrad. The 163 passing yards with two TDs and one rushing TD on 44 yards shows us the potential and why he is still the starter, but how much longer does he have as a starter?
Shaun Hill - He threw the ball 54 times, with throwing it that many times he's going have to connect eventually and that he did. He threw for 331 and 2 TDs, along with 53 rushing yards. He did manage to throw two INTs but that didn't hurt his totals much. They might now be pretty points, but he's a Top Shelf Player this week, and until Stafford gets back, Hill will be at minimum a good back up in you line ups.
Kyle Orton - Who would have thought that in the Cutler/Orton trade that Orton would have been the safer bet at QB now and is now on his 3 consecutive week of 300+ yards passing.
Honorable Mention: P. Manning, R. Fitzpatrick, C. Palmer
Arian Foster - After missing the first half for disciplinary reason, he still managed to pile up some yardage on the ground, as well as adding a TD rushing and receiving.
LaDainian Tomlinson - Talk about a second wind, he's caught fire and renewed his career. Nothing like setting the clock back a few years, on his way to a 130+ yards rushing game with 2 TDs.
Maurice Jones-Drew - Finally an MJD performance we're use to seeing. Although modest with his yardage he did score twice with one being rushing and the other being receiving.
Honorable Mention: J. Addai, R. Mendenhall
Terrell Owens - Another blast from the past preform from this weekend, unlike LT's showing, I'm not seeing this as setting back the clock, most so just using borrowed time. Regardless though, 222 receiving yards and one TD is a great day for anyone. Just hope he wasn't on your bench.
Calvin Johnson - Looks like Johnson and Hill finally got on the same page. He didn't go over a hundred yards, but he did managed to get into the end zone twice.
Reggie Wanye - 15 receptions on 19 targets is the second highest target total for a player this year, if Garcon can't get healthy this could be an every week occurrence.
Antonio Gates - As the only reliable passing catching option right now in San Diego it was only a matter of time before he went off. On only seven targets Gates went for 144 yards and two TDs.
Zach Miller - With the Raiders top two WR slowed by injuries and the show no fear attitude of Gradkowski, Miller was targeted a lot this past weekend. He had 13 targets for 11 receptions on 122 yards and one TD.
Honorable Mention: E. Royal, Dustin Keller
Bottom of the Barrel (Figured this was more suiting, let me know what you think)
Eli Manning - He just couldn't get much going through the air, so they relied on the run and it paid off for them. But you would have known to sit him if you'd have listen to our radio show on Tuesday nights at 11 PM ET. The link to the show in on our front page.
Matt Hasselback - With one of the most dismal offenses in the league you won't have much value you in Fantasy. If you have him, try to pick up one of the QBs listed in the Bargain Bin.
Dishonorable Mention: C. Batch, A. Smith, S. Wallace
Chris Johnson - Finally a reality check for CJ. I don't see this happening much more, or again at all, barring injuries, but good to see that he is still human.
Ray Rice - Yes, he was hurt, not a 100%, but still he had 9 touches. He's done a lot more with a lot less.
Matt Forte - It was just an ugly game over all for the Bears, now with Culter being hurt, possibly, they might lean on the ground game more. Doubt it, but stranger things have happened.
Dishonorable Mention: B. Wells / T. Hightower, B. Jackson / J. Kuhn
DeSean Jackson - Vick got hurt, it looks like his value might take a slight hit with this as well if Kolb keeps up with the short to medium passing ranges.
Santana Moss - Philly said they were going to key on Moss so that McNabb couldn't hurt them through the air, and they executed this plan well. I don't see his production diminishing much like this the rest of the season, especially if there is a ground game to counter act it.
Steve Smith (NYG) - Hard-nosed player that loves going over the middle, but that doesn't always equate to a high fantasy value.
Mike Sims-Walker - Wait he's still playing? No catches in consecutive weeks will do that to you.
Dishonorable Mention: M. Colston, M. Floyd, L. Fitzgerald
Bargain Bin
Sam Bradford - Not a bad pick up for a bye week this week since he's playing at Detroit this week.
Ryan Fitzpatrick - He plays for the Bills, I know, but who cares if he keeps throwing for 200 yards and two TDs.
Shaun Hill - See Bradford.
Ryan Torain - He looked to be the stronger and more importantly, healthy back of the two. The ground game in Washington looks to be re-establishing itself. Get on Torain now while you still can.
Steve Johnson - Would only take him in deeper leagues, not sure, but still intrigued with what chemistry there might be between him and Fitzpatrick.
Davone Bess - His point totals have only been climbing over the past weeks, and if Marshall keeps getting double coverage someone is going to have to take up some slack and catch some balls.
Eli Manning - He just couldn't get much going through the air, so they relied on the run and it paid off for them. But you would have known to sit him if you'd have listen to our radio show on Tuesday nights at 11 PM ET. The link to the show in on our front page.
