NFL Week 3 - Fantasy Football Tuesday Morning Hangover

Talk about a wild week in Fantasy Football, who would have thought a back-up/short yardage back would pile up that kind of yardage against the Ravens Defense. Well we can at least be assured that Vick was going to cool down and comeback to reality, wrong again there. Hell, can we at least count on Miles Austin to lead the Cowboys in receiving? Wrong again, that WR they left for dead down there in Big D, Roy E. Williams put up a stellar fantasy weekend. The one shocking standard fact that we need to get accustom to this season is that is you own a WR in New Orleans you're going to be disappointed, not because they don't throw it, but because their leading receiver is their 4th wide-out and he only ranks 35th in total yardage (sorry for those M. Colston owners). But enough of my mindless babble on the one thing that won't lie to you, much that is, the stats..

Top Shelf
Michael Vick - 291 Passing Yards and 3 TDs with 30 Rushing Yards and 1 Rushing TD.  He's only getting hotter as the weeks roll on, if he can keep this up he'll be have been an amazing pick up for whatever team got him, but can he keep it up?
Peyton Manning - 325 Passing Yards and 3 TDs. Really just another great performance, not much more can be said.
Phillip Rivers - 455 Passing Yards and 2 TDs, but 2 INTs.With no ground game he was the offense on this night.
Honorable Mention: T. Brady, D. Brees, K. Orton

Adrian Peterson - 160 Rushing and 2 TDs. Despite having half his yardage and a TD on one run, it was still reassuring to his owner to see him get a decent game under his belt.
Chris Johnson - 125 Rushing Yards and 2 TDs. Yet again, they don't have a passing game in Tennessee so you are looking at their offense, just hope he says healthy.
Peyton Hillis - 144 Rushing Yards and 1 TD. This was the surprise of the week, well one of them at least. This will raise some interesting questions about who will start next week, even if J. Harrison is healthy enough to start.
Honor Mention: C. Benson, R. Mendenhall, M. Turner

Anquan Boldin - 142 Receiving Yards and 3 TDs. The quickest player to 600 receptions, a great feat for a #2 WR behind Fitz in AZ. It looks like he's finally jelling with Flacco, and just in time with R. Rice hurting his knee.
Austin Collie - 171 Receiving Yards and 2 TDs. Wes Welker 2.0 did a nice job filling in for P. Garcon. Either way Collie is here to stay and keep producing for you on a fantasy level.
Lance Moore/Roy E. Williams - Two amazing performances, albeit I don't see this being an every week affair for these two.
Honorable Mention: B. Lloyd, B. Marshall, M. Wallace, D. Jackson

Miniatures
Matt Schaub - Another disappointing performance for a top tier QB, he needs to turn this around quickly before he start slipping from that top tier.
Brett Favre - Maybe he should have stayed retired, this time.
Jimmy Clausen - It's not always easy for a rookie to take over as QB in the NFL, but he's looking to have a bright future.
Dishonorable Mention: C. Palmer, V. Young, D. Garrad

LeSean McCoy - It seems that he came back to to his normality with a mediocre performance after a career day last week.
Matt Forte - After all my love for him this season, it seems he finally met a defense that kept him in check. Don't expect him to be held down for long.
Shonon Greene - So far, the disappointment of the season, plain and simple.
Dishonorable Mention: R. Brown, M. Tolbert, J. Best

Andre Johnson - If you can't get the ball thrown to you, or put into good situation you're not going to be able to produce.
Calvin Johnson - He's had a slower start to the season, and need to put it in high gear. He did show us in Week 2 that he's able to score (and Week 1, but we're not being that debate back up), but his consistency is an issue.
Wes Welker - He wasn't getting the Red Zone targets, or his normal number of targets period. This is nothing to worry about, he can't be a top WR every week.
Dishonorable Mention: D. Clark, M. Austin, M. Colston

Bargain Bin
Ryan Fitzpatrick/Matt Cassel - These are to QBs to watch right now, with bye weeks starting you might need someone to fill in.
BenJarvis Green-Ellis - Well it took not even a week for Fred Taylor to get injured. Although it doesn't seem like a serious injury for Taylor, I'd farther have Green-Ellis for the reminder of the season.
Kenneth Darby/Willis McGehee - Two Handcuff that look like they will see sometime in Week 4, and maybe Beyond.
LeGarrette Blount - He was running with authority this weekend. He won't cut into Cadillacs carries just yet, but to keep him healthy for a full season they might start giving Blount more carries as the year progresses.
Blair White - Depending on the P. Garcon injury, this is just someone to keep on your radar or pick up in deep leagues if you have a spot available.
Lance Moore/Roy E. Williams - Like I stated before, I don't see either one of these guys producing every week like this, or even close for that matter. They wouldn't be bad pick ups in deeper leagues, only because of the potential to do what they did this past weekend, but the 0 and 3 point weeks aren't worth it sometimes as well.
D. Keller - He is owned in about 50% of league, but with the blundering running game in New York, it looks like they are going to let Sanchez air it out more, and Keller looks to be his Red Zone target of choice.
